Description: In 2015, a total of 214 million malaria cases and 438,000 malaria deaths reported globally and 90% of deaths occur in Sub-Saharan Africa and 70% deaths are children under five. The incidence rate of malaria is estimated to have decreased by 37% globally between 2000 and 2015. Malaria death rates have decreased by 60% over the same period (WHO, 2015). The trends of malaria have showed a consistently decline in Ethiopia. It has successful achieved the Millennium Development Goals. According the FMOH (2015) Health Management Information System (HMIS) report shows the number of reported malaria cases declines form 3.8 to 1.9 million cases in the year 2012 and 2015, respectively.
