Description: | This book could provide a helpful resource for teacher educators in their efforts to design and carry out their own programs. The cooperative premises underlying the programs in this book suggest a possible strategy for doing this: A team of teacher educators responsible for a particular program, ideally with teachers from cooperating schools, could form an investigating team to generate a list of all the strengths and problems in their particular programs. Armed with this analysis, they could then conduct a deliberate search through the descriptions of the various programs and commentaries in this volume, trying to find “answers” or at least “responses” to their questions. This volume could serve as a reference tool for teacher educators hoping to evaluate and redesign their own programs. |
