Description: In this case study, three African-American women deans have shared their lives with me to talk about their spirituality and leadership. All women are from majority institutions. Interestingly, none of the women mapped out the deanship in their career path, but all were identified by others to take on the challenge. As you will see in this study, these women’s spirituality and leadership is inextricably woven together by the way in which they talk about their lives, relationships, and leadership practices.
