dc.description | A new Convention on the International Protection of Adults was recently concluded under the auspices of the Hague Conference on Private International Law.1 It is designed to replace the Convention concernant l’interdiction et les mesures de protection analogues signed at the Hague on 17 July 1905. The 1905 Convention has been ratified by only a few States. It is old-fashioned and little used. Further ratifications are unlikely. There is a clear need to replace it by a new Convention likely to appeal to a much wider range of countries. | en_US |
