Keywords: | archaeology of an Aboriginal mission |
Issue Date: | 2009 |
Publisher: | AltaMira Press |
Description: | Sponsored by the World Archaeological Congress, this series of original edited and authored books seeks to access and promote contemporary developments in world archaeology. It will draw upon work conducted in both the northern and southern hemispheres and open a channel for people from non-Western countries to challenge the existing preconceptions about the role of archaeology in contemporary societies. The series editors seek to consciously structure the series to facilitate dialogue and critical exchange both within and between countries. Volume editors and authors will be encouraged to structure their books so that they reflect the global diversity of archaeology, not only in content but also in style and format. The goal is to link a decolonized archaeology to current political issues, as well as to archaeological theory and practice in all parts of the world. |
