Description: | One illustration of this normal state of affairs came with the conclusion of almost 40 years of negotiations on the delimitation of the sea boundaries between Norway and Russia in 2010. Following the guide and spirit of the UN Convention, we devised a modern, balanced and just treaty on the delimitation, proving that overlapping claims can be settled through constructive negotia- tions. Gradually we are seeing the emergence of a regulatory framework that can guide and regulate human activity in these vast and vulnerable waters. |
