The book’s organization follows a linear progression; each chapter builds on the previous one. Some readers may feel I favor traditional drawing over digital techniques. I have used computers intensively for the last 20 years and I believe they are essential to modern practice, but I am concerned that traditional skills are slipping away. My career as a visiting design consultant, illustrator, and educator has allowed me privileged views into architectural firms and schools around the country. Many, if not most, have almost entirely abandoned using traditional methods.en_US
