| Description: | In the present paper, the author describes the two following concrete technologies: • Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) • Durable shrinkage reduction in cementitious materials. The main emphasis in this exposé is on the practical experience with these technologies on different job sites. Examples of problems and the ways to approach and solve them, will illustrate the useful and efficient application of these technologies. In Switzerland, both technologies have been introduced in the market in the years 1998/1999. The projects executed so far, emphasise the importance of these developments. |
