Description:	People of color, including those of African, Asian, Latino, and Native American descent who are socialized through Western influences, ultimately come to idealize concepts and behaviors that are of an alien origin. These alien ideals, which people of color internalize, become standards of personal consequence. Such standards do not require litigation, although they maintain the support of both du jour and de facto institutions. Subsequently, Western influences then impose upon people of color in the way they organize their universe and perceive themselves by determining what is ideal and, consequently, what is inferior.
